A quick link of the day from Elvis the Cat: If you are looking for free or low-cost spaying or neutering services for your pet, don’t forget your local animal shelter. Many shelters which offer pets for adoption free or low-cost spaying and/or neutering, and many offer low-cost vaccinations and check-ups as well. Some local shelters such as the Amanda Foundation in Los Angeles offers free spaying and neutering services through mobile vet clinic. (The Amanda Foundation Spaymobile specializes in serving low-income and underserved areas, travelling to Watts, South LA, Pacoima, Boyle Heights, Highland Park, ect. offering free spay/neuter and vaccines.)
If you are looking for freehe ASPCA! In partnership with PetSmart Charities®, the ASPCA offers a comprehensive and searchable database which is designed to help you find low-cost spay/neuter programs in your community.
Millions of unwanted pets are euthanized every year. In many places throughout the world, there are inadequate funds and veterinary services available to address this overpopulation crisis. Stray animals often endure physical suffering and pose a public health threat to people through the risk of physical injury and disease transmission.
Are your pets spayed/neutered? Tell us about it!
