Operation Lonestar’s Free Clinic Comes to South Texas July 23-27

Operation Lone Star 2012 is coming to south Texas next week. The operation is a joint exercise of state health and human services agencies, Texas Military Forces, Cameron County Department of Health and Human Services, Hidalgo County Health and Human Services and the City of Laredo Health Department to prepare for disasters. All organizations work together to bring FREE medical services to under-served communities along the Texas border. The operation is made possible with the help of hundreds of local service groups and volunteers.

Some of the services provided are:

• Immunizations for children
• Diabetic screening
• Blood pressure screening
• Hearing and vision exams
• Sports physicals

Adults and children dental services will be at Manzano Middle School. Children preventive dental services will be at Ringgold Middle School.

Dates, Times and Locations are as follows:

• Monday – July 23: 8am – 4pm
• Thursday – July 26: 8am – 4pm
• Friday – July 27: 8am – 2pm
