Thousands Line Up for Free Medical Care In Sacramento

Just to follow-up on this year’s Remote Area Medical California expeditions, thousands lined up in Sacramento for free medical, dental and vision care this last weekend. The local CBS affiliate interviewed some of the people standing in line for the free clinic:

We’re still waiting on final numbers for the clinic, but on the first day alone the free clinic saw more than a thousand people and provided 420 extractions, 350 fillings, more than 300 glasses and more than 250 people medical exams. Thousands, both uninsureds and those with health insurance, camped through the night for the free care.

If you’re on the East Coast, you’re not missing out! Remote Area Medical will be holding its next free clinic at Bristol Motor Speedway from April 13th to 15th, and you can be sure that we’ll be posting updates on that clinic and other free clinics throughout the year.
